NFL Week 9 fantasy football inactives watch

Injuries, coaching changes and bye weeks have led to some tough decisions on who will start in Week 9. Keep an eye out for potential breakout stars as well as players that could be cut from your lineup due to a change of scenery or a matchup you’re not keen on facing.

The “nfl week 9 inactives” is a list of players who are inactive for the upcoming NFL game. The list is updated throughout the day and can be viewed on websites such as ESPN, Yahoo!, and CBS Sports.

We’ll provide fantasy-relevant updates and analysis here when NFL clubs issue their official inactives lists, usually around 90 minutes before kickoff, to help you plan your fantasy football lineups and prevent starting a player who won’t be in the game. Any rankings in this column are based on our ESPN Fantasy staff.

Official Sunday inactives should arrive roughly 90 minutes before the planned start time, at 11:30 a.m. ET for early games and 2:30 p.m. ET for late games.

RB Latavius Murray of the Baltimore Ravens has an ankle injury. Nobody expects him to play, therefore his impact will be minimal. Most carries should be distributed between Devonta Freeman and Le’Veon Bell.

BAL’s Sammy Watkins, WR: Thigh — Impact: He’ll probably sit out unless Bateman is really unable to play.

WR Rashod Bateman of the Baltimore Ravens has a groin injury. Impact: Despite missing practice late in the week, there is still reason to be optimistic.

BUF’s Cole Beasley, WR: Ribs Questionable Impact: This was practiced late in the week, but it might still be a last-minute call.

Dawson Knox, TE, Buffalo Bills: Hand — OUT Impact: Tommy Sweeney will replace the injured TE starter once again.

QB Sam Darnold of the Carolina Panthers has suffered a concussion. Questionable Impact: He’s no longer in league protocol, but it’s unclear if he or P.J. Walker will start.

CAR’s Christian McCaffrey (RB) has a hamstring injury. Questionable Impact: He’s been activated off injured reserve, but his status for Week 9 won’t be determined until kickoff.

CIN’s Chris Evans, RB: Hamstring — Questionable Impact: If Samaje Perine plays, he loses value as a flex option.

WR Donovan Peoples-Jones of the Cleveland Browns has a groin injury. Questionable Impact: If he stays healthy, he might take over for Odell Beckham Jr., who is set to be dismissed.

DAL’s Amari Cooper, WR: Hamstring — Questionable Impact: He’ll likely play, which is a good thing given Michael Gallup isn’t ready to return off IR yet.

DAL’s CeeDee Lamb, WR: Ankle — Questionable Impact: His injury occurred on Wednesday, therefore his condition is now unknown.

Blake Jarwin, TE, DAL: Hip — OUT/IR Impact: Dalton Schultz will take over for the next three weeks at least.

COVID-19: Noah Fant, TE, DEN — Fant is not anticipated to be cleared to play this week, which is a questionable impact.

Knee — Questionable Impact: Albert Okwuegbunam, TE, DEN: Given Fant’s absence, this is another another excellent chance to make a splash.

Thigh — OUT, Pharaoh Brown, TE, HOU Jordan Akins and Brevin Jordan will catch passes from Tyrod Taylor, who is coming off the injured reserve list.

James Robinson, RB, JAX: Heel — Questionable Impact: If Robinson is forced to sit, Carlos Hyde’s value rises.

Tua Tagovailoa, QB, is missing in action. Questionable Impact: If the phrases “sore and swollen” continue to be used, Jacoby Brissett will come in.

DeVante Parker, WR, is out with a hamstring injury and will be replaced by Jaylen Waddle and Preston Williams.

Shoulder — Jonnu Smith, TE, NE Limited practice time, but should be able to divide targets with Hunter Henry.

Saquon Barkley, RB, New York Giants: Ankle — OUT Impact: Devontae Booker will continue to carry the majority of the load in the backfield.

WR Sterling Shepard of the New York Giants: Quad — OUT This week, Kadarius Toney will have an opportunity to make a significant impression.

Quad — John Ross, WR, New York Giants Questionable Impact: If he plays, he’ll be Daniel Jones’ “deep threat.”

NYG’s Kenny Golladay, WR: Knee — Impact: Expected to be able to play, and would likely start alongside Toney.

Defense

Knee — Questionable for Jerome Baker, LB, MIA.

DT Michael Pierce (Minnesota): Elbow — OUT

Anthony Barr, LB, Minnesota Vikings: Knee — doubtful

Dont’a Hightower, LB, NE: Questionable Ankle

Kyle Van Noy, LB, New England Patriots: Groin — doubtful

Kyler Murray, ARI quarterback: Ankle — Murray’s Impact: Murray is a danger due to the late kickoff. You don’t want to put him in lineups and then have to watch Colt McCoy.

Hopkins, DeAndre, WR, ARI: Hamstring — Questionable Impact: He’ll be a game-time decision, and Antoine Wesley may get more snaps.

COVID-19: A.J. Green, WR, ARI — Questionable Impact: He will sit until he receives the requisite two negative tests.

Deebo Calf, Samuel, WR, SF: Brandon Aiyuk is the safest 49ers wide receiver to utilize in fantasy teams. Samuel’s health seems to be a source of concern for the squad.
