Wii Games To Play With Friends

Wii is a fantastic console for family fun, but what with it being so popular the selection of games can be quite limited. This article will introduce you to some games that are great to play with friends and family. I have already written about some great party style Wii games here, but this article takes it a little further by looking at some of the best games to play with friends.

One of the most popular video game genres is role playing and while some RPGs can be enjoyed on your own, others require a more tactical experience that only comes from engaging in battle with other human players. Wii has a range of titles that support local multiplayer and below I will introduce you to some of the best.

Mario Strikers Charged Football (Wii)

Electronic Arts released Mario Strikers Charged Football on Wii in 2009 and it has fast become one of the most popular titles available for the console. The game tasks you with taking part in 5v5 football matches featuring famous Nintendo characters, including Wario, Donkey Kong, Peach, Yoshi and Mario. You can play against friends or go online to take on strangers from around the world in matches that are fast-paced and action-packed.

Pokémon Battle Revolution (Wii)

The Pokémon battle series is huge, which makes sense when you consider the size of the franchise , so a Pokémon battle game for Wii makes a lot of sense. In fact, you can even play this title with your friends online or use the built-in wireless connection to fight against other players at public events such as tournaments.

Sin & Punishment: Star Successor (Wii)

This sequel to the cult Nintendo 64 shooter Sin and Punishment (known as “Niji no Silk Road” in Japan) combines traditional shooting mechanics with Wii Remote motion controls, promising a fast-paced and action packed experience for you and your friends. The game received critical acclaim upon release but was not successful enough to spawn a sequel, which is a real shame considering just how enjoyable this title is to play.

Metroid Prime Trilogy (Wii)

The Metroid series is loved by many and so it is very fitting that we should include this collection of three games on the list. The original Metroid Prime was released for GameCube in 2002 and introduced players to a first-person adventure that took place in a large sci-fi world where you would explore dark caverns, battle alien creatures and search for lost artifacts. Metroid Prime 3 was the final game in the trilogy which sees players reprise their role as Samus Aran once more, but this time battling against a new enemy known as Dark Samus . The game also features multiplayer support for up to four players.

Wii fps games

It is true that most Wii titles are not known for their stunning graphics, but when you consider the budget price of the consoles and games it really isn’t a problem. Now and then we get to play a great looking Wii game and one such title is Red Steel 2, which was released in 2010 and features some fantastic visuals. The game sees players take control of a weaponless samurai who must fight his way through a variety of levels set in the American west. The game features great swordplay, an interesting story and fun multiplayer options that will see you coming back for more.

Conclusion

I hope you have enjoyed reading about some of the best multiplayer Wii games for your next party. I am a big fan of Nintendo and own consoles from each of their major hardware generations, but even though my collection is almost entirely made up of titles from the company I still make sure to pick up some third-party releases every now and then.
